Voraks

Voraks are a wild, primitive race found deep within the jungles around Scarthia, and far beyond into the Selezithe wilds. They are aggressive and barbaric, seeking only to plunder wealth and luxuries from their neighbours. Their treetop villages are well hidden in the canopies of Scarthia and Selezithe’s thick jungles, and each village forms its own twisted tribe. Vorak craftsmanship, although crude, is effective enough to produce shabby huts and stable bridges that form the hub of a village. Relationships between villages are strained but vaguely peaceful as Voraks have a strong sense of unification against all other races. Nevertheless skirmishes and petty squabbles are common between tribes, and even intra-tribal stability can be incredibly tenuous.
As an exception to the fractured and disorganised nature of the Vorak, one settlement has grown to city sized standards, located far to the west of Scarthia, deep in the Selezithe wilds. Although primitive and devoid of complex architecture, this city sprawls across the jungle floor as well as its canopies, seeming to attract more scattered Voraks daily. Rumours exist that the Voraks have gathered to a great being of awesome power known simply as “The One”. Very few have returned from this city alive and, thus far, none have seen anything to warrant the existence of such a creature.
Voraks are purely carnivorous creatures, feeding on wild pigs and monkeys, as well as a great deal of unfortunate Bokabs that fail to elude predation. They are not adverse to eating the flesh of civilised races, though they rarely go out of their way to do so unless raiding, simply due to the risk and hassle involved. Their language is coarse, consisting of deep guttural sounds remarkably unsuited to their almost bird-like appearance.

Physical Appearance

Voraks are large and stocky, standing around six feet tall with a broad, muscular build. Their faces are long and flattened, almost like a beak, with rows of sharp teeth and small squinty eyes. Their hands and feet are long and clawed, almost prehistoric, and support only 4 digits on each. Thick, rubbery patagia extends from their wrists to ankles, allowing for brief gliding capabilities. Such gliding requires an individual Vorak to raise its arms vertically above its head to properly unfold the patagia, producing an effective surface area for flight. Their bodies are covered in a fine black fur, thinnest at their heads, and thickest over their torso. Although these creatures wear no clothes, they often decorate themselves in macabre trophies such as skeletal necklaces or a belt to support skulls of various animals or victims. Voraks are infamous for their swoop tactics, whereby a small group of these creatures will glide safely down from jungle canopies with spears held downwards, impaling victims unfortunate enough to be found where they land.
Voraks are a nasty race of bat/bird-like creatures living in the jungles around Scarthia.

Good antagonists in any scenario :)
